Pretty much everything about an election campaign pushes me outside of my comfort zone, but one of the strangest adjustments is seeing my name and face on lawn signs dotted throughout the neighbourhood. Being recognized by people I don't know is a weird feeling, even though that recognition is the whole point of the sign. So please do say hello. I'd love to introduce myself and share my vision for Stittsville and why I'm qualified to move it forward.
Candidates get the go ahead to place their election signs on public and private property this Friday. You can find signage rules at: Temporary Signs on Private Property By-law and Signs on City Roads By-law.

PS: You may notice I am re-using the same signs I used in 2022. There are a few reasons for that but it primarily comes down to reduce, reuse and recycle.
1) Signs are a necessary evil in elections. They help spread awareness (about a great candidate) to potential voters, but at the same time, they are only used for a short period. I choose to minimize my sign impact by reusing old ones rather than adding more limited use material.
2) I believe in smart money management -- whether in my campaign or while managing your tax dollars. Consider voting for me if you support less wasteful spending.
